The FALL 2010 issue of MapleLine Magazine is available at various in-town locations to October 31, while supplies last.

 

Autumn in Sooke See our fall issue for interesting articles about the arts, health, education (Allan Cahoon, John Horgan, Bev Berger), harvest season, impact of the Sooke Highway on life in Sooke, and more! Available free at the usual outlets including The Sooke Regional Library, Sooke Regional Museum, Serious Coffee, The Stick, The EdGe, SEAPARC, Reading Room Cafe, Hollywood Video, Sooke Harbour House and other locations. This is the first issue that has been distributed via Canada Post directly to selected homes in Sooke. Starting November the print magazine will be issued bi-monthly (6 times a year). See revised ad rates for 6x/year.

Budget input online

The BC government is offering an online survey to Oct.15 where individuals and organizations may comment on Budget 2011 spending priorities. The brief survey requests reader prioritization of three government strategies -- fund new programs and services; reduce the debt; cut personal income taxes -- but the commentary field accepts 3,000-word commentaries. A final report is to be released by Nov.15. Budget 2011 - survey online
