Next
council meeting is at 7 pm on Mon. Sept.14,
at District of Sooke Municipal Hall.
At the last meeting (Aug.24), Council's agenda
included discussion of proposed bicycle lanes for Rhodonite Drive as well as speed limits at SunRiver
Estates.

The District of Sooke is recognizing volunteerism by
requesting nominations for Outstanding Volunteers.
The next bi-annual deadline for nominations is
Oct.31/09.

SEAPARC Expansion/Renovation
In response to an influx of requests for arena service upgrades and fitness facilities, the Sooke
& Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission
solicited the services of an architect to prepare concept drawings for possible renovations
and additions. Survey results (from the summer)
being released this month.
