BACKGROUNDER - April 2010

This year marks the 24th season for the Sooke Fine Arts Show. Sooke’s SEPARC Arena will again undergo a stunning transformation thanks to carpenters, electricians, designers and a legion of eager volunteers, all placing the utmost care and attention into the staging of the exhibition.

Artists may submit up to three works of art in either 2-D or 3-D in any medium. A total of 375 juried works are selected for sale. The deadline for entries is May 28. Entry forms are available online at www.sookefinearts.com .

Refreshments and music may be enjoyed in a comfortable bistro setting on an ongoing basis for the duration of the exhibition. There is also a well stocked gift shop for purchases of smaller items by participating artists.

The Sooke Fine Art Show is open to the public from July 24 for August 2, 2010.   MM
