David Evans is the owner/operator of The Stick in the Mud Coffee House in Sooke, BC. With a particular flair for making every customer feel like a long-time friend, Evans has boosted the self-esteem of a swath of the Sooke community. His five-year business plan for The Stick -- based on his passion for coffee -- includes roasting beans on the premises; the roaster is to arrive in December 2009.
