Many business people in town have put almost uncountable hours of work into preparation of the event that has been promoted with the banner Sooke ~ A great place to be. "It's going to be an exciting day," says Karen Mason of Mason Financial who has coordinated the booth organization for the Rotary. One of the business people out doing booth sales was Kel Phair of Northern Star Plumbing, who was busy helping businesses plan for their participation in the 10 am to 10 pm event. John Bridal did a large chunk of the marketing organization. The District of Sooke's Spirit of Sooke display from the BC Streets display at the OZone Olympic venue will be on display, with felt 'fish scales' that can be signed by Sooke residents and visitors -- a sort of "I was here" mark on the town. Parking in the SEAPARC lot will be limited. After dropping off their display setup at the arena, exhibitors are asked to park along Sooke Flats and take the bus shuttle service back to the arena. MM
