News Stories & Tips

~ Events & Issues

We want to hear from you!

WHAT TO SEND:

If you would like to submit ideas or an outline for a news story or to contribute some tips about an issue in progress, please send your notes to: editor@maplelinemagazine.com .

We will let you know if your idea is essentially a news release (promotional) or if you should be developing it into a balanced story including interviews.

Standard news releases welcome.

PAYMENT FOR ASSIGNED ARTICLES:

We do not accept full unsolicited news stories for payment, so before you spend a lot of time please send your ideas first (i.e. submit a query).

Where a story or background piece is promotional we do not pay; a footer that includes information about your group, organization or business may be considered.

If journalism work is done to produce a story, a small fee may be paid (for assigned stories only). Please arrange your contract with the Editor.

WE PUBLISH NEWS and NON-FICTION:

Please note: MapleLine Magazine is a news publication. Generally we do not publish short stories, fiction or poetry.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED:

We do not guarantee the use and/or publication of any material submitted to MapleLine Magazine. The Publisher reserves all rights to determine the content of the printed MapleLine Magazine, the MapleLineMagazine.com website, the weekly MapleLine e-bulletins, and the MapleLine blog.

Any and all articles published in MapleLine Magazine provide first-publishing rights to Brookeline Publishing House Inc. and MapleLine Magazine, its website, e-bulletins and blog.

We want to see what you see!

If you wish to submit your photos for publishing consideration, please send mini images (less than 1 MB) on spec by email to the editor: editor@maplelinemagazine.com . If we want a high-res version for further consideration, we will email back to you.

If your image is requested for publication it must be a minimum of 300 dpi, in CMYK for colour printing (jpeg, tif, or pdf). Images intended for web-use only may be submitted at 72 dpi or 150 dpi (jpeg or pdf).

We do not accept printed photos except where digital versions are not available. If you submit a photo by mail, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope if you want the image returned to you.

Please note: MapleLine Magazine is a news publication and our photos are photo-journalistic (i.e. they provide newsworthy information). Generally we do not publish photos for visual appeal alone unless they enhance the presentation of the article in a meaningful way; your photo must tell a story or support a topic that we are exploring in MapleLine Magazine.

The Publisher reserves all rights to determine the content of the printed MapleLine Magazine, the MapleLineMagazine.com website and the MapleLine blog.
