RBC breaks loose:

More days, more hours

SOOKE, BC. The signs of a growing town are evident when a prominent major bank voluntarily extends its hours. The local RBC branch did just that, this week opening its doors on Mondays (formerly Tues-Sat. was their business week) and today doing its first longer Saturday.

"With an extra day we're trying to be there more for our clients, and the longer hours are to be more available for Sooke residents who work outside of town and need some banking hours when they're back in Sooke after work," said Todd Olynyk, RBC Branch Manager, Sooke.

The branch (located at the Evergreen Mall where Shoppers Drug Mart is soon to open their new larger store) will now be open Monday to Thursday 9:30 to 5, Fridays 9:30-6, and Saturdays 9-4. The RBC has been in Sooke now for 33 years, having first opened its doors in 1977. MM
